Court 1 at Wimbledon |
||||||||||||||
As you can see from the map, there are 19 courts, plus Centre Court, for a total of 20. During the first week, all courts are busy with matches. If you have any kind of a ticket you can wander about courts two through nineteen. You need reserved seats for Centre Court or Court 1, which have stadium seats. Hard to believe those two courts are never used except for the Wimbledon event. The members of the All England Club play the other 18 grass courts during good weather. There are a couple of covered courts as well, but they aren't used for the tournament.
The orange sign to the left that says "86 Marryat Road Hospitality House" is the private home we had access to during Thursday and Friday matches. We didn't know about that, yet. |
